Hello Everyone!
Time for another update on our gaming progress!
I am still playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingom. About 65 hours in. Small non-spoiler update next, those who want to avoid it can move to next paragraph. I am going for the last regional quest, and have found 60+ shrines. As for exploration, have done about 1/4th of Depths and Sky Islands, and activated all Sky towers, though there’s still a lot to find.
I mentioned resuming Animal Crossing, but it didn’t went far. My wife is completely back into it, but I haven’t played it much, whenever I am on Switch I just want to play Zelda.
In non-Nintendo world, just downloaded Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, going to start playing it with my kid. Going to be our first beat 'em up together, if I am not forgetting any.
Other than that, also planning to give Monster Hunter: World another try, this time with a group of friends.
That’s all from me. What are you all up to? What are you playing?
Yeah, I don’t think it’s a hidden gem, but I haven’t seen many people play it. How are you liking the game.
I am in the opposite boat, I have played the other Bayonetta (thought only the first one) but not the Cereza and the Lost Demon.
sadly I dont have as much time to playing games as I use to.
Happens to all of us, don’t worry about it.
I’ll give the demo a try, once I have gone through Bayonetta 2 and 3. Thanks for the heads up.
I’m still immersed in the world of TotK, squeezing in gaming sessions whenever I find a spare moment. Surprisingly, despite investing a considerable amount of time, I’m “only” 40 hours into the game.
Since I finished TotK last week (got 100 hours out of the game), I decided to take a break from it for a while and instead focus on my switch backlog.
I’m about to finish a game called In Other Waters. What I initially thought would be just a chill exploration game became a really immersive narrative experience with turn of events which really caught me off guard. I’m definitely interested in more games from the developer, I heard great things about their subsequent game Citizen Sleeper.
Other than that, I started playing Blaster Master Zero 2. I played the first one last year and really enjoyed my time with it, and the sequel so far seems to be as good as the first one.
Outside of Nintendo ecosystem, I’ll also probably boot up PS5 for a few hours and try to get more trophies out of Unravel 2.
I plan to continue playing original Metroid prime and start to play Super Mario Galaxy again.
Still playing EO3, but debating digging into something else too. Just not sure what I’m in the mood for. :)
Maybe try some non-Pokemon monster collecting game, there are many good ones available. Or some puzzly game, like Ghost Trick?
Some good suggestions. I’d heard of Ghost Trick and that one did look interesting. :)
Borrowed a couple games from a mate to see if I wanna buy them myself. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a no, but will be buying Mario 3D + Browser’s Fury after payday. Also, usually fit in some time on Dorfromantik in the evenings or when stressed.
Why did you like Luigi Mansion 3?
Dorfromantik looks fun. Is it as relaxing as it looks?
I just found it very slow. A lot of unskippable cut scenes. Yes! So relaxing.
Yeah, Luigi Mansion does have that issue. I didn’t notice it the first time, because I like to watch the cut scenes, but when I tried to replay it, I just couldn’t.
Thanks for the info, will add Dorfromantik to to my list!
I am keeping up with TotK. Well over 100 hours but I may spend some time in Pokémon Scarlet chasing Gimmighoul and Chesnaught.
I’m 75% of the way through Advance Wars 2 (from the Advance Wars Reboot-Camp remake). I normally get ~3 levels done per play session, but the last stage of Yellow Comet was more difficult than usual. I’m thinking these last stages are just harder than all the earlier stages.
I might try a hard-mode run, or maybe I start playing competitive (erm… casual-level competitive. I dunno about beating the grandmasters in this game but I kinda wanna see where people are).
I was very hyped for Advanced Wars, but then they delayed it, and then released it couple of weeks before Zelda, so haven’t gotten a chance to play it yet. Glad to see people are enjoying it.
Competitive can be interesting, though I doubt I would be hold off against the pros.
i played through 1 on the remake before i started totk, and it was just as fun as i remembered (and not insanely hard like wargroove was for me). very excited to play 2 post-totk
That’s cool. With so many games, I don’t think I would get the chance to play it any time soon. Let’s hope this sells enough for Nintendo to make newer games in the series.
Monster Hunter World for sure.
Etrian Odyssey at last, and Noob the factionless on ROG Ally + A Wonderful Life on ps5 later!
How is Noob the Factionless? It looks interesting, but I have no idea about the IP, and the trailer didn’t seems to explain much game play either.
Also, how are you finding ROG Ally? Heard there were lots of issues with the launch?
I’m not super far, but it seems neat so far! I know nothing about the media franchise, and wasn’t sure about the aesthetic, but there is this cozy 2008-mmo-cringe to it that I like. It’s a fairly standard JRPG
The ally has been great for me. I only use GOG, which works best on windows, so there was a lot of jank on steam deck. I know there’s been some controversy about performance with updates, but I’m not running tons of benchmarks or AAA. It’s been smooth so far!
That sounds fun, will give it a try when I get some time.
Glad to hear that it’s working great for you. It’s nice to see handhelds making a come back.
ToTK, spending a lot of time not doing the main quests.
Finishing up FFVII Remake Intermission before I start FFXVI as the other game I’m juggling in the not-much free time I have had lately.
I’ll see if I can finish chapter 3 of Dragon Quest Builders 1 on the switch today.
Got a bit pissed and had to put the game down for a bit after chapter 2 because the boss trashed my town during the fight. I had to rebuild the town after, it doesn’t feel right leaving my poor villagers in that state.
But yeah, still a very fun game.
Yeah, I remember not liking the part where boss destroys the town. It built it so lovingly, and he came and just smashed it.
It’s a great game. I am not a fan of minecraft, but loved Dragon Quest Builders. Should play the 2nd one sometimes…
Tears. I play games for a long time, so it’ll be another couple months with it.
Same here. Finished Xenoblade Chronicles in 6+ months. Though, when the game takes over a month or so, I usually add some smaller games to mix.
How far along are you? and how are you liking it?
Love it. It’s basically the same game as Breath of the wild, but the underground and sky island increase the map even more. Then the added building and fusing weapons makes it way more fun to play. I’ve finished the first three temples and am on to the last now.
Yeah, the new abilities make the game completely different.
Good luck with the last temple!
